Programs & Services

In our ongoing quest for health equity, our calendar year features a bi-weekly podcast and a bi-weekly professional newsletter, complemented by three pivotal initiatives strategically designed to spotlight and address critical disparities within our communities.

Signature Events & Programs

Breast Health Awareness

With the arrival of October, our focus sharpens on Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Pink ribbons unfurl across the landscape, signaling a united front against breast cancer. Through advocacy, education, and early detection initiatives, we strive to bridge gaps in breast cancer outcomes, ensuring equitable access to screening, treatment, and support services for all individuals, regardless of race or socioeconomic status.

Digital Health Literacy

Digital health literacy and internet connectivity have recently been acknowledged as “super social determinants of health". During Health Literacy Month (October) we offer an event designed to equip individuals with essential knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of digital health in today's rapidly evolving landscape. Through interactive workshops, engaging discussions, and expert-led sessions, participants will gain insights into leveraging technology to enhance their health and well-being.

Heart Health Awareness

February dawns with a dual focus as we observe American Heart Month and Black History Month. In celebration, we host a special heart health education event in conjunction with live music and a live podcast recording. We honor the invaluable contributions of Black Americans throughout history, recognizing their resilience and perseverance in the face of systemic challenges, including those within healthcare.
